Varan Fine Jewellery

1. Nature of Fine Jewellery

Fine jewellery is delicate by nature and designed for careful wear. Normal wear over time may include:

  • Minor scratches
  • Loss of high polish
  • Loosening of stones
  • Metal patina

These are not defects.

2. Proper Care & Use

To preserve your jewellery, we recommend:

  • Removing jewellery during physical activity, swimming, or sleep
  • Avoiding contact with chemicals, perfumes, cosmetics, and cleaning products
  • Storing pieces separately to prevent scratching
  • Periodic professional inspection

Failure to follow care recommendations may result in damage not covered by warranty.

3. Warranty Coverage (Limited)

Varan Fine Jewellery provides a limited workmanship warranty covering manufacturing defects only. The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidental damage
  • Impact or force
  • Improper use or storage
  • Loss or theft
  • Stone loss due to wear
  • Damage caused by third-party repairs or resizing

Warranty coverage is assessed at our sole discretion.

4. Repairs & Servicing

We strongly recommend that all repairs and servicing be carried out by Varan Fine Jewellery or an authorised partner. Repairs performed by third parties:

  • Automatically void any warranty
  • Release Varan Fine Jewellery from all liability

Repair requests are subject to assessment and quotation.

5. Post-Delivery Responsibility

Once delivery is confirmed:

  • The customer assumes responsibility for care and maintenance
  • Any damage occurring after delivery is not considered a manufacturing defect

6. Timeframe for Defect Notification

Any manufacturing defect must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, accompanied by clear photographs and written description. Claims reported outside this timeframe may not be accepted.

7. Resizing & Adjustments

Resizing, alterations, or adjustments:

  • May be offered at the customer’s cost
  • Are subject to design feasibility
  • Are final once completed

Customised or resized items remain final sale.

8. Assessment & Discretion

All repair, warranty, and defect claims are subject to inspection. Varan Fine Jewellery reserves the right to:

  • Approve or refuse claims
  • Repair, replace, or decline service
  • Determine whether damage is due to wear, misuse, or defect
